I discovered the Internet a long time ago, while I was still a veterinary student. It was my thunder and lightning on the way to Damascus. As my passion for the virtual world grew (as did the phone bill), I found that the nights were not nearly long enough. I needed relatively little to make me happy: a few pieces of computer hardware to assemble as I wished, without the expectation of building something that would actually work, or surfing the calm waters of the Internet all day long. Later on someone thought to actually pay me for this and thus my adventure in the wild west of the New Economy began.

During one of my navigations in April 2000 I discovered the ODP, the new library of Alexandria. The first category I edited was World/Italiano/Computer/Internet/Internet_Provider. In January 2003, I was accepted as editor in World/Italiano. In august 2003 I have been given editing responsabilities for Regional/Europe/Italy

One day I met Lourdes, a beautiful American girl, who was in fact so struck by me that she returned to the US. No need to say that the Web was essential in making us feel close but soon the astronomical phone bills we both had made it cheaper to actually fly across the Atlantic. This way I was able to visit the US more than once and Mexico. I showed off my Tuscan-English, the same I used one day to ask her to marry me. Now we live in Florence, city where I work as a consultant on website promotion on search engines. Another big passion of mine is cycling on the hills of Tuscany, a hobby which keeps me from taking the shape of my chair.

If you would like some advice on how to have your site reviewed quickly in DMOZ, the best one would be this: strive to make the best submission you can, by choosing the most appropriate category for your site and proposing a description that respects the guidelines.

Scoprii la Rete diverso tempo fa, quando ero ancora uno studente di Veterinaria. Fu la folgorazione sulla via di Damasco, presto le notti non bastarono pi? mano che la passione saliva, insieme alla bolletta. Per farmi contento bastava relativamente poco: un po' di pezzi di computer da assemblare a piacimento, senza poi pretendere che venisse fuori necessariamente qualcosa di funzionante, o lasciarmi libero di navigare tutto il giorno fra le placide acque di Internet. Pi?di qualcuno pens򠡤dirittura di pagarmi per questo, ed ebbe inizio la mia avventura nel far west della New Economy.

Nell'aprile del 2000, durante le mie navigazioni, mi sono imbattuto in ODP, novella biblioteca di Alessandria. La prima categoria della quale mi presi cura era World/italiano/Computer/Internet/Internet_Provider. Nel gennaio 2003 sono stato accettato in World/Italiano. Nell'agosto del 2003 mi state affidate responsabilitࠤi editing su Regional/Europe/Italy

Un giorno conobbi Lourdes, una bella ragazza americana, che rimase molto colpita da me ed infatti se ne torn򠮥gli Stati Uniti. Neanche a dirlo, la Rete fu provvidenziale nel farci sentire vicini, e presto il livello della bolletta rese pi?nomico prendere l'aereo. Ho avuto cos젭odo di visitare pi?una volta gli USA ed anche il Messico, e di esibire il mio tosco-inglese, con il quale un giorno le chiesi di sposarmi. Adesso viviamo a Firenze, cittࠩn cui lavoro come consulente nella promozione di siti sui motori di ricerca. Un'altra grande mia passione 蠡ndare in bicicletta sulle colline toscane, il che mi impedisce tra l'altro di prendere la forma della sedia.
