Born and raised in Idaho (US). Served 21 years active duty in the US Air Force civil engineering field and retired as a structural superintendent/manager in 1991 with the rank of Master Sergeant. While in the service, earned degrees in concrete construction, construction management and a bachelor degree in history.

Enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking and cabinet making. Life long interest in visual arts, especially paintings, transparent watercolors in particular.
